Family Dispute Resolution
Robyn is a qualified Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner and can offer low cost family mediation services to separating couples and extended families.
In parenting matters, before parties can apply to the court for parenting orders, they must obtain a certificate from a FDRP (with some exceptions). Even if you are not intending to go to court or do not need a certificate, the facilitative mediation process can help parents put their children’s needs front and centre and protect co-parenting relationships whilst determining parenting arrangements after separation.
In property settlement matters, mediation is not compulsory, but engaging in mediation rather than lengthy negotiations back and forth can reduce cost, conflict and stress for separating couples. Robyn will manage and guide the process, including suitable referrals for legal advice, to acheive a ‘peaceful settlement’ wherever possible.
The first step to any mediation is for each party to attend an intake assessment appointment. You can book an intake assessment appointment with Robyn instantly online here.
As with all of our services, we offer mediation on a low cost, fixed fee basis. Centrepay is available to pay our fees over time if needed.
Our fees are as follows:
- Intake assessment $150
- Joint session mediations $200 per person for up to 4 hours and $60 per person/ hour thereafter.
- Meeting room hire fee of between $20 – $30 per hour/person depending on venue chosen.
- “Divorce in a Day” full service separation management. Robyn will work with both parties over a period of time to reach agreement regarding property settlement, parenting and if required, applying for divorce. Includes documentation ready to be signed and filed to formalise all agreements. $1500 including intake/ for each party and joint session mediation.
Discounts are available to clients who are solely reliant on Centrelink payments or in financial difficulty. Please contact us to discuss your options.
